Why FixGram
Everything you need to keep calories on track
Log a meal in seconds, see how much is left until your goal, and get ideas from what your friends are cooking.
Calories from a photo
Snap your plate and AI finds the foods and estimates grams, calories, protein, fat and carbs. It knows home cooking too, from borscht to Moldovan sarmale and plăcinte.
Just say what you ate
No photo? Type or dictate “two eggs and a slice of bread” and FixGram turns the sentence into foods with calories.
Labels and barcodes
For packaged food, scan the barcode or snap the nutrition label and get the values from the pack.
Food diary and macros
Your daily goal is based on age, height, weight and activity (the Mifflin-St Jeor formula). See at a glance how many calories, protein, fat and carbs you have left.
Progress and Apple Health
Your streak, weekly, monthly and yearly charts, and your target weight. With Apple Health, calories burned through activity are added to your goal.
Friends and feed
Follow friends and coaches, see what they eat in your feed, and compete every day: whoever gets closest to their own goal wins.
Recipes with macros
Recipes with ingredients, steps and calories per serving. Tap “Cook” and the serving you ate goes straight into your diary.
Messages
One-to-one chats with photos and posts shared between friends. People who don’t follow you can only write through a request you accept.
How it works
From plate to diary in three steps
Snap your plate
Tap + to open the camera. Or type, dictate, scan a barcode or a nutrition label.
AI recognizes the food
It finds every food and estimates grams, calories, protein, fat and carbs.
Check and save
Correct any value or tell the AI what’s wrong. The meal goes into your diary, and FixGram remembers your corrections.

Is FixGram free?
Yes. FixGram is a free download from the App Store, with no ads and no subscription. To keep it that way, AI analyses have a daily limit.
How accurate is calorie counting from a photo?
The AI recognizes the foods and estimates the grams the way you would by eye, only faster. The result is an estimate: oil, sauces and hidden ingredients don’t always show in a photo. That’s why you can correct any value or tell the AI what’s wrong, and FixGram remembers your corrections. For packaged food, the barcode or the label gives you the values printed on the pack.
Which languages does the app support?
Six: English, Romanian, Russian, Ukrainian, German and Italian. You pick the language on the first screen. The AI also knows Eastern European home cooking: sarmale, plăcinte, mămăligă, borscht.
Who can see my data and my weight?
Your diary, weight and diary photos stay on your iPhone and, if iCloud is on, in your iCloud; we can’t see them. Nobody sees your weight, not even friends in the daily challenge. A photo sent for analysis passes through the FixGram server to the AI model and isn’t stored. The social features are optional: only what you choose to post or send reaches the server.
Is FixGram available on Android?
Not yet. Right now FixGram is available for iPhone (iOS 17 or later) on the App Store. The Android version is in development and coming soon.
Does FixGram work with Apple Health?
Yes, if you want it to. With your permission, FixGram reads the calories you burn through activity and adds them to your daily goal, and the weight you log is saved to Apple Health too. Friends see your steps and calories burned only if you turn that on.
How is FixGram different from other calorie counters?
Instead of searching a list for every food and weighing it, you take a photo or say what you ate. FixGram knows regional home cooking and lets you correct anything. And you’re not on your own: follow friends and coaches, find recipes with calories per serving, and compete every day, where whoever gets closest to their own goal wins, not whoever eats less.
Do I need an account?
Not for the diary: it works without one. You only need an account (email and password, Apple or Google) for friends, the feed, posting recipes and messages. You can delete it anytime in Profile → Settings → Account.
